CD Projekt's Hit Returns to Netflix. Work Begins on "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II"

During the Anime Expo convention in Los Angeles, CD Projekt Red announced that, together with Japanese studio Trigger Inc., it has begun work on the next installment of the anime series "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II".
The series' scriptwriter will be Bartosz Sztybor from the CD Projekt Red development studio, and he will be supported in creating character designs by Kanno Ichigo and Masashiko Otsuka, who will be responsible for adapting the story for the production. A video trailer for the new series was presented as part of Anime Expo.
Together with the Trigger studio, we are working on the next installment of the anime set in the world of "Cyberpunk 2077". The series will be directed by Kai Ikarashi. The series will debut on the Netflix platform - we read on the CD Projekt Red website.
The first installment of "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" was produced by the Trigger studio based on the plot of the computer game "Cyberpunk 2077" in 2022 and was released in September this year on the Netflix platform.
The series had 10 episodes, and their duration was 23-26 minutes. Due to high expectations from viewers, the producers decided to continue the project. The premiere date of the new episodes was not announced.
CD Projekt Red is a subsidiary controlled by listed company CD Projekt.
The main shareholders of CD Projekt are: Marcin Iwiński (12.66%), Michał Kiciński (10.00%) and Piotr Nielubowicz (6.86%).
